WHMlogoThis month, GNC is excited to honor women everywhere, as we celebrate both Mother’s Day and Women’s Health Month! As a physician, Director of the GNC Medical Advisory Board and father, I know how important living well through health awareness and healthy living can be for women. Too often, I see examples where an ounce of prevention could have made a huge difference in a women’s life.

Osteoporosis, skin cancer, and obesity are some of the most common issues that we as doctors get asked about by women of all different ages. I always advise that by starting early to maintain your health and wellness, women have the best chance at maintaining their health later in life.

In this month’s Doctor’s Corner, I talk more about these concerns and what can be done, including proper screening. The idea of sustained health requires a dialogue between you and your physician to know what’s right for you, so below is a guide of some of the most recommended health screenings for women throughout their lifetime. Use this to discuss with your physician today and determine what is best for you and your desire to stay healthy - and don’t forget to visit our Women’s Health Month webpage, celebrating the strength and beauty of women everywhere!
