In honor of our GNC Treat Yourself recipe contest on Pinterest, we are highlighting our three winners and their winning recipes. Get to know them a bit more and I think you will find they have more to offer than just creativity in the kitchen. Here is our first winner:

“Hello! I’m Jess Allen, a NSCA-CSCS trainer and the author of the healthy living blog, Blonde Ponytail where I share dynamic workouts and healthy recipes along with life outside the gym. My husband and I reside in Omaha, Nebraska where he coaches baseball at Creighton University. Most recently, I gave birth to a beautiful, baby girl in June, so I can add “mom” to my list of credentials!

Fitness and healthy eating have been part of my lifestyle from the beginning and inevitably led me to Stanford University where I played softball. As a college athlete, it was important to fuel my body properly. That priority has stayed with me which is one reason why I use GNC products to fuel my healthy lifestyle now.

JessAllen_SkinnyKeyLimePieAs a new mom, proper nutrition is necessary but making time for it is not always easy! So, I make simple recipes that pack a protein punch in advance like No Bake Protein Bars & Easy Energy Bites using my favorite GNC protein powders. And, combining healthy eating with at home workouts has helped me gradually return to my pre-pregnancy fitness level and physique—there’s still some work to do!

My winning recipe is Skinny Key Lime Pie.  Be sure to check it out!

I appreciate you taking the time to read! You can follow more of me and my story on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. And, for a variety of exercise videos, visit my YouTube channel.”
