This is part two of a running diary detailing the experience of trying the GNC Total Lean™ 2-Day Juice Cleanse . You can read part one of the diary to get more background on the days leading up to the running diary.
Day 1 on the GNC Total Lean™ 2-Day Juice Cleanse went really well and I’m looking forward to the second day. Today I’ll be following the vegetarian meal plan again and having a juice thirty minutes before lunch and dinner.
9:02am – It’s almost time for breakfast today. I’m repeating the same breakfast as yesterday which is 1 cup of raspberries and 2 rice cakes with peanut butter.
12:26pm – I’m getting hungry now and I’m about to have the 3rd juice of the program. It’s my third juice in two days but I’m not sick of the taste at all. They’re 12oz each and only 50 calories so you’re not drinking a huge amount of juice.
12:55pm – It’s time for lunch. Today I’m having a GNC Total Lean Shake 25 Chocolate Peanut Butter. I do usually prefer meals (lunch, dinner) to be solid food but this is an option on the meal plan so I decided to give it a try for lunch.
3:25pm – I’m actually still full from lunch but I know if I don’t eat now I’ll be starving so I’m not skipping my snack. My snack according to the meal plan is a protein bar.
6:45pm – It’s time for my fourth and final juice of the cleanse. I actually like drinking these thirty minutes before a meal, it feels like it extends the entire length of the meal for me.
7:15pm – Dinner! Tonight I’m having the Rice & Bean burrito recipe that comes with the nutrition plan provided.
10:12pm – No time to give up now, I’m staying away from snacks. My two days are about up and I feel really good. In addition to the juice the diet also really helped me get my nutrition back on track.
Day 2 Tips & Takeaways
- Even though there is a meal plan you can be flexible. I used Day 2’s lunch for dinner and Day 1’s breakfast both days because the ingredients were similar so I didn’t have to buy as much food.
- Have an idea ahead of time when you want to drink your juice and eat your meals. Planning will help you eat at the times that make sense for you.
- Embrace the change! I was excited to try this and had fun doing it. It’s only a small thing but changing up your routine and patterns can help put a little excitement in your life.
